The Generac Mobile MLG8K Mobile Diesel Generator is built for dependable power, long-lasting performance, and quiet operation. Engineered with a Marathon Electric brushless alternator and an SE350 voltage regulator, it delivers single-phase output with voltage regulation of ±1% for cleaner, more reliable power. With prime power rated at 8.1 kW / 8.1 kVA and standby capacity up to 9.0 kW / 9.0 kVA, the MLG8K is designed to keep your operations running without interruption.
At the heart of this generator is a 1.0L Kubota® D1005 liquid-cooled diesel engine, EPA Tier 4 Final compliant and optimized to run at 1800 RPM for improved fuel efficiency and extended engine life. Paired with a 56-gallon internal polyethylene fuel tank, the unit provides up to 160 hours of runtime at 50% load or 80 hours at 100% load, making it ideal for demanding jobsites and extended use.
Durability and safety are built in. Rubber vibration dampers isolate the engine and generator for quieter operation, while an automatic shutdown system protects against low oil and high temperatures. The sound-attenuated 14-gauge steel enclosure keeps noise levels at just 70 dB(A) from 23 feet, with a powder-coated, UV-resistant finish for added longevity. Fully lockable panels with stainless steel hardware ensure both protection and easy access for service.
For convenience, the control panel features a four-position keyed switch (Preheat, Off, Run, Start), an hour meter to track maintenance intervals, an emergency stop switch, and internally mounted circuit breakers with start limit protection. Outlets include two 120V 20A GFCI duplex receptacles and one 240V 30A twist-lock outlet, each individually breakered for added safety.
Mounted on a DOT-approved tubular steel trailer with a 48-inch track width, the MLG8K is easy to transport. It comes equipped with a 2-inch ball hitch, safety chains, tie-downs, and fully integrated lighting including tail, brake, side, and directional lights. The rugged 13-inch 6-ply tires and polyethylene fenders complete the package, ensuring safe towing wherever power is needed.
